Ski lifts/​ropeways Grands Montets – Argentière (Chamonix)

Since the 2014/15 season, the modern 10-person gondola lift Plan Joran takes you from the valley up into the ski area. Additionally, a cable car runs from the valley in two sections via the mid-station Lognan to the summit. Long waiting times are to be expected at the second section. However, you can reserve a spot in advance for a fee, which requires you to be at the entrance at the printed time. Within the ski area itself, there is a 15-person circulating gondola and otherwise chairlifts. The six-seater chairlift Herse is relatively modern. All other lifts are already quite dated.
