The evaluation is done as follows
Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Grand Tourmalet/Pic du Midi – La Mongie/Barèges
The Grand Tourmalet ski area offers several challenging slopes and, with the Pic du Midi, an exceptional freeride mountain. The ascent to the Pic du Midi is by cable car to 2,877 m. The following safety rules should be strictly observed, as there are no official slopes there: The deep-snow runs on the Pic du Midi require excellent skiing skills, as well as knowledge of the weather and terrain. It is strongly recommended to ride only with professional guidance. Within the ski area itself, there are also many freeride opportunities away from the official slopes.
