Environmental protection of the ski resort Gemsstock – Andermatt

Sustainability is a top priority in the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. Wildlife and forest conservation areas must not be entered and are clearly marked on the trail map. The electric energy in the supply area of Elektrizitätswerk Ursern and Energia Alpina (Windpark Gütsch) is sourced 100 percent from renewable sources. The ski area is a partner of POW Protect our Winters. The "Mountain Food" gastronomy brand of SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun uses ingredients from the region and offers free mountain water from fountains. Plastic is being actively reduced. Arrival by public transport is encouraged (Snow&Rail offer from SBB, Ski-Express bus from Zurich, Lucerne, Aarau, Lugano). Travel on the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB) is included in the ski pass.
