In the Elm ski area, modern lift facilities transport guests up to 2,105 meters above sea level. Whether carving, snowboarding, or freeriding, over 40 km of snow-sure and varied slopes cater to all needs. There are also ungroomed slopes available. The winter sports area is known for its rustic and beautiful ski huts, its toboggan run, and its large children's arena on Ämpächli. Skiing in Elm is scenically very attractive. The view from the ski area of the Martinsloch is outstanding. The Martinsloch is a 22-meter-high and 19-meter-wide rock window at about 2,600 meters in the large Tschingelhorn. And: Vreni Schneider, the most successful ski racer in the history of Swiss ski racing, still lives in her birthplace Elm and runs a ski school here.
