The Auron ski area offers plenty of open terrain, providing several long runs. The area below the 6-seater chairlift Dôme is particularly recommended. There are also a few cleared forest runs, such as the one beneath the Las Donnas cable car. The designated difficult runs are not groomed daily.

The south-facing black slope Face offers a great view of the village of Auron. It features a very challenging and long steep section.
