Environmental protection of the ski resort Aletsch Arena – Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Fiesch Eggishorn

Sustainability and climate protection are top priorities in the Aletsch Arena. The cable cars are operated entirely with renewable energy from local sources. The Aletsch Arena ski area offers excellent connections to public transport with direct train stations. From the train and bus, you can go straight to the cable cars. The mountain villages in the ski area (Riederalp, Bettmeralp, and Fiescheralp) are car-free (members of the Association of Car-Free Swiss Tourist Resorts - GaST). The Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and significant investments are made in environmental education.
