10-seater gondola lift from the new public transport hub Fiesch to Fiescheralp

The new 10-seater gondola lift Fiesch-Kühboden replaces two aerial tramways from Fiesch to Fiescheralp, one with 100-seater cabins and one with 34-seater cabins. The valley station of the state-of-the-art facility is located in the new public transport hub in Fiesch, offering direct connections to the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and the PostBus network.

The 10-seater gondola lift Fiesch-Kühboden is manufactured by Doppelmayr-Garaventa. The so-called D-Line is, with a travel speed of 7 m/s, the fastest 10-seater gondola lift in Switzerland. The new CWA Omega V cabins are used as vehicles.

An extension of the lift with a second section from Kühboden towards Eggishorn, as a replacement for the aerial cableway Fiesch-Eggishorn, is being considered.
