The Riederalp-Blausee-Moosfluh combo glacier lift offers 6-seater chairs and 8-person cabins. The 70 chairs and 18 cabins are suspended on the same cable in a 4:1 ratio. This modern lift replaces the Moosfluh 12-person gondola. The combo lift gives winter sports enthusiasts the option to travel up to the Moosfluh either in cabins or on chairs.
Due to the geology, the innovative lift features a mid-station (without boarding or disembarking in winter). As the Aletsch Glacier has receded further in recent years, the mountain itself is also shifting. For this reason, the Moosfluh glacier lift was constructed so that geological subsidence can be compensated for at any time, thanks to special constructions at the mid and top stations.
