The Omnia Mountain Lodge is located in the center of Zermatt, perched 45 meters above the village on a rock. Guests reach the lift inside the rock through a tunnel, which floats them up to the lobby at 1,649.4 meters above sea level.

30 rooms, including 12 suites, a library and a restaurant with open fireplaces, a lounge bar, a boardroom, a cavern, and two sun terraces high above the rooftops of Zermatt—with the Matterhorn as your neighbor. All rooms and suites have a balcony, most with unique panoramic views of the Rothorn, Stockhorn, Gornergrat, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn mountains. Upon arrival at the train station in Zermatt, The Omnia’s private electric car is already waiting to take guests directly to the hotel. Since this exclusive hotel is perched on a rock above Zermatt, guests reach it from Kirchplatz/Bahnhofstrasse via a tunnel that leads directly to the elevators, which take them up to the hotel. The ski room is also located here, and entering the tunnel feels a bit like James Bond 007.

Luggage is brought directly to your room, and from the tunnel, it’s a 45-meter ascent to the reception. Here, you are warmly welcomed and can enjoy a welcome drink by the open fireplace.

The rooms and suites are elegant, modern, and feature plenty of wood. You’ll also enjoy stunning views over Zermatt, the Valais mountains, and the Matterhorn. Since the management has a passion for whisky, an excellent whisky is always available in the rooms for guests to enjoy. Every evening during the turn-down service, you’ll receive a fine chocolate. At The Omnia, rooms and suites are not numbered but assigned letters. No two rooms are alike.

A true gem is the exclusive wellness area with its mystical atmosphere. It includes an indoor pool with torches and a passage to the outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath, caldarium, flower bath, relaxation room, and a perfectly warm outdoor whirlpool with views of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Drinks are, of course, served in the spa upon request.

The absolute highlight is the cuisine at Hotel The Omnia. Executive Chef Hauke Pohl masters the art of showcasing the flavors and authenticity of local alpine and seasonal quality products. With classically inspired and cosmopolitan creations, the kitchen team delights and surprises guests. Here, you’ll experience quality, fresh products, and ever-changing flavors.
