The ski resort is very snow reliable. The majority of the ski resort is located at over 1600 m and is therefore naturally snow reliable. In addition, almost all slopes have snow-making capabilities. The village of Mayrhofen is only at 630 m, so there is not always snow in the valley. However, the valley run from the Ahorn has excellent snow-making equipment. Due to the terrain on the Penken, it is not possible to ski down on a valley run to Mayrhofen.
