Advanced skiing/powder snow skiing Kitzsteinhorn/Maiskogel – Kaprun

The Kitzsteinhorn is a paradise for experts. Those who prefer groomed slopes can stay at the Maurerlift or have fun on “Black Mamba” with gradients of up to 63%. Powder snow enthusiasts will be particularly impressed by the extensive freeride options: 5 freeride routes close to lifts are marked X1-X5 and also have names (Ice Age, Westside Story, Left Wing, Jump Run and Pipe Line). A modern information system is provided for powder snow skiers with the Freeride Info Base near the Alpincenter and Freeride Info Points directly at the start of the routes. There is also an avalanche search training area at the Alpincenter. There is another difficult slope in the Maiskogel ski area.
