An excellent selection of cross-country trails ranging from easy to demanding can be found around Geilo. 50 kilometres of trails are located in the valley and 170 kilometres are in high mountain terrain. The trails pass through varied scenery including flat sections, ascents and descents. The cross-country trails are graded according to difficulty and offer a wide selection of routes for beginners as well as experienced cross-country enthusiasts. There is also a floodlit cross-country trail on the outskirts of Geilo.
