Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Alpe Lusia – Moena/Bellamonte

Part of the ski resort of Alpe Lusia is located in the Parco Naturale Paneveggio Pale di San Martino. The Pala group has been part of the Dolomites World Heritage Site since 2009. In Bellamonte there are 2 photovoltaic systems. The water to snow the slopes is taken from the hydroelectric basin called Lago di Paneveggio. The electricity for the operation of the cable car and the snow-making of Bellamonte comes totally from renewable sources (hydroelectric). A good public transport connection helps to protect nature. The ski huts use mainly regional produce. The ski resort places great emphasis on sorting of waste.
