Since the 2014/2015 ski season, the Helm and the Rotwand ski mountains have been connected to the Three Peaks in the Dolomites ski resort via the Drei Zinnen and the Stiergarten gondola lifts. With the new Drei Zinnen and Stiergarten slopes, ski and snowboard fans are treated to absolute highlights: the panorama from the Stiergarten mountain station of the Queen of the Dolomites, the Drei Zinnen, is just breath-taking.
The winter sports resort surrounding Sexten, which was previously named the Sextner Dolomites, has some great offers for families in addition to varied and optimally groomed ski slopes for all ability levels. Children can have fun on the Kids Ski Cross course, a snow tubing run and on three toboggan runs. Kids can practice skiing on the Rudi-Rentierweg and at the small, sunny Dorf lifts. They won't believe their eyes when they see the huge snowman family and will enjoy visiting the only and smallest reindeer herd in the Alps.
Passionate skiers can experience the "Grande Giro delle Cime" ski adventure, which leads over five mountains in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites, through three valleys and across the provincial border of South Tyrol to Belluno. Even non-skiers are provided with highlights: the adrenaline-fueled "Free Fall Ride" and the "3 Zinnen Mountain Brunch" at 2,050 m elevation (accessible by lift).
Two additional ski mountains are included in the Three Peaks in the Dolomites region: Haunold and Ski Area Val Comelico. These can be accessed either on skis or with the ski bus.
Note: The openening times are provided by the ski resort 3 Zinnen Dolomites – Helm/Stiergarten/Rotwand/Kreuzbergpass and can vary based on external conditions, day of the week, school holidays and public holidays.
