With 202 kilometres of well-groomed slopes, 43 modern lifts, pristine deep snow descents and cool fun parks, Best-of-Zillertal, comprising the Hochfügen-Hochzillertal and Spieljoch skiing areas, offers superb wintersports facilities for experienced skiers, beginners and families and our snowmaking facilities guarantee excellent snow coverage right down into the valley.

Hochzillertal. From the Hochzillertal valley station in Kaltenbach two parallel gondolas take skiers to where they want to be – no need for any tedious waiting around. The service operates from 7.30am. At the top, heated chair-lifts offer some welcome warmth before you head off to the slopes or one of the two downhill runs. And the skiing does not have to stop when the sun goes down – head to the “Stephan Eberharter Goldpiste” for a unique floodlit skiing experience.

Hochfügen. Since 2004 Hochfügen and Hochzillertal have combined to form one of the largest ski areas in Tyrol – definitely a “successful partnership” with skiers now able to enjoy a choice of fabulous downhill runs, great freeride facilities and always plenty of snow – guaranteed! And since last winter Hochfügen has a new addition to its black runs – the “Obitraudi”, its name deriving rather aptly from the German “Trau dich runter” (in English: “go on – I dare you!”).

Spieljoch. The Spieljoch ski area in Fügen is an ideal winter destination for less experienced skiers and families but the more experience are not neglected – they will enjoy the challenge of a 7-kilometre long run with plenty of snow coverage all the way down into the valley. For little ones (aged 3 months+) there are kindergarten facilities where tots can play with toys, watch a film … or maybe just enjoy a well-earned nap! Of course Best-of-Zillertal also offers a choice of fabulous restaurants and, to round off a busy day out on the slopes, tired skiers can spoil themselves with a visit to the Zillertal spa and pool complex in Fügen – perfect!.
