right on the edge of the town there is Glasberglift with its easy, sunny slope which is especially suitable for children and beginners. Twice a week, there is floodlit skiing there until 8.00 p.m. which particularly appeals to the younger skiers. The mountains around the winter sports resort of Zwiesel offer the best possible conditions for alpine skiing: the Arber ski area is only a few kilometres away. Between Christmas and the beginning of March, a ski bus (free of charge for guests staying in Zwiesel) connects the town with this snow sure region 4 times a day.
