There are no children's areas on the Zugspitze. However, the ski resort itself has wide and easy slopes. Children up to 6 years of age can ski for free when accompanied by parents. The resort is also home to Germany’s highest toboggan runs. Sledges are available for hire. A visit to the viewing platforms is an experience too. The summit of Germany’s highest mountain is within touching distance. There is also an exhibition on the summit showing the Zugspitze and its development as well as the construction of the lifts.
