Lienz places great emphasis on gentle tourism. The ski huts serve regional dishes and produce. Use of the ski buses is encouraged and it is easy to reach the resort by train. Due to the resort's sunny location, there is no valley run to Lienz.

  The Lienzer Bergbahnen lift operator is a partner of ÖBB Rail Tours to promote sustainable travel to the resort by train. From Lienz train station, a bus takes you to the base station of the Zettersfeldbahn lift.

• A ski bus or scheduled bus runs at hourly intervals between the ski resorts of Zettersfeld and Hochstein as well as to Lienz train station.
