Planned connection of the Alpbachtal and Wildschoenau ski resorts
A new 8 person gondola lift is planned for the Schatzberg peak below the Hahnkopf mountain station which will begin in the Alpbachtal/Widersberger Horn ski resort next to the valley station of the Poegl lift. The new gondola lift will connect the Wildschoenau/Schatzberg and Alpbachtal/Wiedersberger Horn ski resorts. A 1,600 metre long slope with snow-making capabilities is planned that will run from the mountain station on the Schatzberg to the middle station. There is no run planned for the 2012/2013 season from the middle station to the valley station, so guests will take the lift back down to Alpbachtal. The trip back to the Schatzberg will take approx. 6 minutes without a transfer. There will be a combined ski pass for the new Wildschoenau/Alpbachtal ski resort.
