Warth-Schroecken is very snow reliable. Snow guns are only needed on the run down to Warth, to the Jaegeralpe and on the steep sections of the slopes in order to provide optimal conditions. Schroecken, on the other hand, relies completely on natural snow and therefore provides the best natural snow slopes. 11 metres of snow falls every year and this makes it the most snow-rich ski resort in Europe.

The slope preparation is excellent.
Even some of the ski routes are prepared. The beginner slopes are always in perfect condition.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The ski resort is located at the Hochtannberg Pass, approx. 60 km away from the nearest highway. It is recommended to carry snow chains as this is one of the most snow-rich areas in Europe. There are free parking lots at all lift base stations (in Warth, Jaegeralp and Salober).

Orientation (trail map, information boards, sign-postings)
Trail map and overview maps:
The trail map is very clear and detailed. The ski slope highlights are pointed out and all lifts are described in detail. The restaurants are also described well. The only things missing are the altitude indications for the Falken, Koerbersee Wartherhorn-Express and Karhorn.
Information boards and sign-postings on the slopes:
The sign-postings on the slopes are exemplary. If there is an emergency, the telephone number for the rescue service is indicated on almost every information board.
Throughout the ski resort, cleanliness is a high priority. In the parking lots, the ticket booths, the restrooms and lift facilities - cleanliness is found without exception.
Environmentally friendly ski operation
RespekTiere deine Grenzen (respect your borders) - information in the trail map, eco-friendly construction of slopes and ski buses are eco-highlights of the ski resort.
Public transportation/ on-site mobility
- No direct train connection
- Comprehensive ski bus network
- Scheduled busses
The employees are friendly. They make an extra effort with the children at the Kuchl lift. On certain lifts, the employees could show a bit more initiative.
