The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The Steckenberg ski resort is easy to access from the Munich-Garmisch expressway. There is sufficient free parking at the valley station. There is additional parking a bit above the valley station in the municipality, where you must purchase a ticket for parking.

Schleifmühle Gasthof & MuseumAbove the valley station next to the Beginners' Paradise.Typical Bavarian specialties are served in the cozy dining room. The Schleifmuehle is open daily from 10 am - 10 pm and even offers a small whetstone museum that can be visited for free.
Après-Ski can be enjoyed on the Steckenberg on the sun terrace of the Steckenbergalm or with good music in the Schneebar. You can also get together in the rustic dining room of the Schleifmuehle.

Total trail length: 105 km
There are groomed cross-country trails in the side valleys surrounding Unterammergau. The trails lead directly past the ski resort. When there is sufficient snow, you can glide from Linderhof Castle to Oberammergau and Unterammergau all the way to Saulgrub.
