Children and families Thredbo/family offers Thredbo

Thredbo is very suitable for families with children. The ski school is award-winning and offers a wide range of lessons for children from 3 years of age. At the Friday Flat practice area, there are several moving carpets and Wally Wombat’s Snow Cave. The slopes in the ski resort are very well suited to families. However, there is no free ski pass for young children.


Special offers for families Thredbo

Thredboland

In Thredboland, specially trained experts teach children how to make their first turns in the snow. There is also a chance to play in a parent-free zone and have fun. The full-day programme includes lunch, snacks and refreshments.

Friday Flat

The beginners’ area is ideal for children. They can practise at several moving carpets here on very easy and wide slopes. There is also the Easy Does It 4-person chairlift with a child-safety system here.


Thredbo Alpine Coaster

Thredbo's Alpine Coaster starts at the base station of the Merritts Gondola and is around 1.5 kilometres long. It travels down to the valley through loops, bridges and tunnels. Passengers can control the speed themselves, up to 40 km/hr. It is scheduled to go into operation in winter 2024.
