Near Park City is the ski resort The Canyons which was reopend with a lot of new lifts in the year 1997 (formerly known as Park West). From the parking lots you float with the modern high speed eight person Cabriolet up to the base of the resort where the ski lifts starts and where the resort hotel is located. With the high speed eight person gondola Flight of The Canyons you can go directly up to the Red Pine Lodge, the short double chair Sunrise open up easy slopes near the base lodge and with the double chair Golden Eagle you can go up to the Lookout Cabin. At the Red Pine Lodge is a large learning area with a magic carpet, rope tow and the quad High Meadow as well as a lot of beginner runs. With the high speed quad Saddleback Express you can reach a lot of intermediate to advanced runs through the trees, as well as the gladed runs The Aspens and The Pines. Now you can ski or ride the the two high speed quads Sun Peak Express and Super Condor Express up to Murdock Bowl on the right side of the ski resort. In the Murdock Bowl and in the Rendezvouz Bowl is the terrain for the experts with a lot of steep deep snow runs. At the Sun Peak Express are many intermediate and advanced runs as well as a funpark. From these lifts you can glide a flat run down to the base lodge. To reach the other installations you take the Saddleback Express or swong from Red Pine Lodge to the high speed six person chair Tombstone Express. With this lift you can reach the Paradise Bowl and the other high speed quad Ninety Nine 90 Express. With the Ninety Nine 90 Express you can reach the Redpine Bowl with very steep runs and only advanced runs are on this lift, nothing for beginners. At the base station of this lift starts also the quad Peak 5 which take the guests to more easy to intermediate runs within the trees. The triple chair Day Break and the quad Dreamscape open up the last slopes in the ski resort. Via easy runs you can swing back to the Tombstone Express which is the connection lift to the Red Pine Lodge. It is not possible to ski from the Red Pine Lodge down to the valley, you can either take the short triple chair Short Cut up to the Lookout Cabin and you can swing from there via intermediate runs down to the valley, or you ski or ride from the top station of the Saddleback Express via the Sun Lodge and the easy run Willow Draw down to the base station.
