The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
From Las Trancas you drive about 15 min. an unpaved road up to the ski resort Termas de Chillan. You can park near the hotels or you can drive up where you find more parking lots. From the hotels you can take the double chair El Tata ditto up the parking lots. Following to the double chair are the t-bar Novicios and the double chair La Mami, especially for beginners, the triple chair Don Beno and the long double chair with middle station Don Otto. There is also the t-bar La Peta ending who serves one easy slope through the forest. If you take the triple chair, the t-bar El Chueco with curve and the t-bars Pillin and El Fresco you reach the highest point in the ski resort. Easy to intermediate, very wide and well groomed runs lead beside the lifts down to valley, or you can take the fantastic intermediate run Las Tres Marias for 13 km far away from the other slopes through untouched landscape down to Termas de Chillan. If you take the double chair
Don Otto you reach nice advanced and intermediate runs as well as nice different deep snow runs and you can ski or ride via a flat way to the upper t-bars (Pillin und El Fresco). Down to Termas de Chillan you will find only very easy runs and you can ski directly to the hotels. For lunch you have a very nice restaurant at the beginner slope La Mami with live music on the terrace (weather permitting), but there is no Après Ski after a ski day!
Termas de Chillan is one of the resort with the best slopes in Chile, due to the length of the runs and the nice grooming!
