Test report Tandådalen-Hundfjaellet

From Saelen Village you reache first the ski resort Lindvallen. Already from far away you can see the lifts and runs leading down to the valley. You find a lot of parking lots in Lindvallen and the high speed quad Express 303 or the high speed six person chair Maerta Express transport the skiers and riders quick into the area. Runs of all degrees of difficulty lead through forest aisles down to the valley. The high speed quad Gustav Express and some parallel running t-bars carries the skiers and riders up again. Further beautiful runs lead over to Sälfjället, which has been made available with four t-bars. From the mountain station of the Gustav Express you can change via a very easy run (you have to push you sometimes) to the ski resort Högfäellet. A long t-bar makes the connection to further lifts. The 3 parallel running t-bars Vargen open easy to intermediate runs on tree-free slopes and you have a wonderful view to the landscape. Further short t-bars open easy slopes for beginners. Back to Lindvallen you have to take again the connecting t-bar, then over a very easy run to the triple chair Renen and in the connection the t-bar Vesslan and finally you reache again the steeper runs in Lindvallen than in Högfjället. At the base station of the six person chair Maerta Express you can find a McSki, a McDonald´s restaurant where you can ski-in and buy your burger right on the slope.

About 15 km von Saelen and about 10 km von Lindvallen/Högfjället you reach the ski resort Tandådalen, which is connected with two long connecting t-bars with the ski resort Hundfjället. In Tandådalen a high speed quad, the Panorama Express, lead directly up to the summit. At the summit the t-bar Topplänken connects the both sides of the flat peak. Easy to advanced runs lead usually always served with two parallel running t-bars from the summit to the valley. If you take the t-bar direction Hundfjället you reach at first the quad Väggen, which opens very steep runs. From the Hundfjället Center the high speed eight person chair Europa-Express starts and parallel to it the double chair Tvastolenbanan up to the mountain, where also the quad Väggen ends. Advanced runs lead down to the chair lifts and the easy runs lead on the back of the mountain again back to the valley and more t-bars servee the easy runs at the backside. With the t-bar Längliftarna you reach more intermediate runs and you have a very nice view to Tandådalen. The runs from the summit are suitable for all ability stages in the best way, advanced prefer the steep runs on the front side and the less advanced skiers and riders prefer the easy to intermediate runs on the back side. Back to Tandådalen you have to take the connecting t-bar again...
