The ski resort Sunday River is one of the largest ski area in Maine and extends from 240m to 963m over 8 interconnected mountains. From Bethel you can reach the ski area in approx. 15 minutes. From the White Cap Base Lodge you can get to the White Cap Peak with two quads. From here advanced and an easy run lead down to the White Cap Base Lodge, to the Barker Mtn. Base Lodge or to the South Ridge Base Lodge & Welcome Concourse. From the South Ridge Base Lodge a high speed quad, a triple chair, a double chair and a t-bar take the skiers and riders to easy runs, especially for beginners. Via an easy slope you can ski or ride to the Barker Mtn. Base Lodge, from where you can ride a tripe chair with mid station up to the Locke Mountain or you can ride with the high speed quad Barker Mountain up to the Barker Mountain. Wide, intermediate to advanced runs lead through forest aisles back to the valley. Further over to the other side of the ski resort, the Jordan Bowl, you can take either the triple chair up to the Spruce Peak or the high speed quad North Peak. From both summits you can wag via easy, intermediate or advanced runs to the Jordan Bowl. With a further quad you can reach the Aurora Peak, or you can take the double chair no.: 13 which brings the skiers and riders in both direction, to and from the Jordan Bowl. From the Aurora Peak you can ski or ride via wide runs to the Jordan Bowl and you have the possibility to take another quad up to the Oz Peak. Jordan Bowl is served by a high speed quad and here you finds long runs of all degrees of difficulty. Over a flat way you can ski or ride to Jordan Grand Resort Hotel, which is directly at the slopes. Back direction Barker Mtn. Base Lodge and South Ridge Base Lodge you can take the quad via the Aurora Peak or the triple chair via the North Peak. The ski resort offers many runs for every level and is also ideal for families.
