Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Sudelfeld – Bayrischzell

The ski resort of Sudelfeld has also taken a great step towards greater environmental friendliness over the last few years thanks to its modernisation work. The new chairlifts and snow-production equipment are state of the art. The selected location for the reservoir near the Walleralm results in an energy saving of up to 30%. The fact that the water flows down towards the valley almost entirely eliminates the need for pumps. Skiing in reforestation areas is strictly forbidden. Public transport by ski bus is promoted. Bus lines and the Bayerische Oberlandbahn (BOB) rail operator make it easier to travel to the resort without a car.
