The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area is just over an hour’s drive from Munich. It features modern snowmaking systems as well as high-performance lifts and cable cars. At Stümpfling (1,484 m), you’ll find a variety of easy and intermediate slopes. Advanced skiers will enjoy the challenging runs at Roßkopf (1,580 m). A real highlight is the snow park in the Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area, which especially attracts younger winter sports enthusiasts.

Several times a week, the lights come on for night skiing on the Stümpfling run. Beforehand, the slope is freshly groomed. A free night bus takes skiers and snowboarders from the Schliersee and Neuhaus train stations to the ski area and back.

The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee winter sports area also offers a range of activities beyond skiing. There are various cross-country trails for Nordic skiing, as well as the popular toboggan run to Firstalm. Ski tourers enjoy the slopes at Taubenstein on the other side of the lake, where lift operations have been discontinued since the 2015/2016 season.
