Town/village at the ski resort: Spital am Semmering
The Stuhleck near Spital am Semmering in Styria is at 1783 m, the highest mountain on the eastern edge of the Alps and the largest ski resort in Eastern Austria. In 1892, the Stuhleck was the first peak to have been climbed with skis. This pioneering feet made the region surrounding Semmering one of the first winter sports areas in Austria and is still referred to as the "cradle of winter sports" today.
The Spital region at Semmering-Stuhleck is a true paradise for every ski and snow fan. You are chauffeured up the mountain with detachable 4 and 6 person comfort chair lifts and can enjoy a total of 24 km of slopes with guaranteed snow. All of the slopes on the Stuhleck feature the most modern snow-making equipment.
The tireless can extend their ski day during "Stuhleck Night Ride" until the late evening hours on the floodlit slope at the Sonnen lift. The entire Snowboard Funpark is also included in the night skiing slope!
