The Schilthorn is the highest ski resort in the Bernese Oberland and offers a spectacular panorama view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Cable car lifts lead up from Stechelberg over Mürren to the Schilthorn. The Schilthorn and Piz Gloria were the filming locations for the Bond film, "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".
Steep slopes, mogul slopes and long slopes as well as modern chairlifts and ski lifts will make skiers' hearts beat faster. The big Skyline Snowpark will impress the freestylers. In addition to skiing, winter hiking paths and toboggan runs are also offered on the Schilthorn.
The car-free mountain village of Mürren is a popular and charming ski village. Mürren is accessible from Stechelberg with the cable car lift.
An additional entry point to the winter sports resort is in Lauterbrunnen. You can access the ski resort near Winteregg using the cable car lift and the narrow-gauge railway. A valley run with snow-making capabilities leads to Lauterbrunnen.
