The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
The Schweitzer Village with hotels and parking lots is located at 1432m and very easy to reach via a well paved road from Sandpoint. With the high speed Great Escape Quad you can go up to the highest point in the ski resort at 1950m. From here you have a breathtaking view to the mountains and the blue lake. Via the intermediate run The Grat Divide you can reach the Sunny Side double chair lift and the high speed six person chair Stella (the only six person chair in the state Idaho) in the Outback Bowl at 1206m. The entrance to the lift is very nice designed, you have to go through a small house with working machines to reach the entrance of the chair lift, it is like a small museum. At this lift you will find very nice intermediate forest runs and from the top station you can ski or ride back to Schweitzer Village.
From the run The Great Divide you can ski or ride advanced, well groomed runs back to the village or at the other side you can ski or ride advanced powder runs down to the Outback Bowl and finally to the Stella chair. The double chair Snow Ghost with mid station goes from the Outback Bowl to the top station of the high speed quad Great Escape and offers a perfect way to reach the Lakeside Chutes, Northbowl Chutes and the Siberia Bowl with extreme runs. All the runs go down to the Snow Ghost or Stella chair. For beginners is a double chair, called Musical chair near the village. The double Chair One starts at Schweitzer Village, too and take you up to mostly advanced runs in the upper part. This lift has a mid station where you can load and unload, so you can ski or ride the slopes you like. In the lower section the runs are wide and intermediate to easy and there is night skiing from the mid station down to the base of the Musical Chair every Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m.
For lunch or a break you can go the Outback Inn at the Stella chair, the Day Lodge or some restaurants in Schweitzer Village. The ski resort is perfect for families as well as for advanced skiers or riders, because the runs leave nothing to be desired.
