The Rauris Valley has lots to offer cross-country skiers. They can enjoy peaceful trails away from mass tourism. The trails are located at altitudes of between 950 metres and 1,200 metres and run throughout the long valley in the Hohe Tauern National Park in Austria. There are even trails which pass by the Rauris ski resort. A trip to the Sonnenloipe (sunny trail) in the pasture area in the rear Hüttwinkl Valley is a very popular activity too. A free cross-country ski bus provides transportation.
