Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Racines-Giovo (Ratschings-Jaufen)/Malga Calice (Kalcheralm)

The Ridanna-Racines-Giovo Valley (Ridnaun-Ratschings-Jaufental) holiday region is a member of the "Alpine Pearls" cooperation which promotes environmentally friendly mobility in holiday resorts. The goal is to offer sustainable and gentle holidays in harmony with the environment. Gentle mobility is promoted, for example with free ski buses.

The ski resort is connected to the local district heating system to provide heating while conserving resources. The piste machines are equipped with a special snow depth measurement system to optimise artificial snow production and save electricity and water. The high technical quality of the snow production system allows the resort to work with as much respect for the environment as possible. The water circuit is sophisticated. Skiing in forest areas is also forbidden. There are charging points for electric vehicles in the multi-storey car park.
