Test result3 out of 5 stars

Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows

Access, Parking Perisher

Perisher is located around 500 kilometres south west of Sydney (around 5 hours’ drive) and can be accessed easily from the capital Canberra (just under 2.5 hours’ drive). From Jindabyne, a road leads to the Bullocks Flat base station. From here, you can travel comfortably on the Skitube (alpine railway) through a 6.3-kilometre-long tunnel to Perisher Valley and Blue Cow. This avoids having to pay an entrance fee to the park, but you need to book the Skitube in addition to your ski pass. Parking at the Skitube is free of charge and you park here even if your accommodation is up in the ski resort. The actual ski resort is located in the Snowy Mountains in Kosciuszko National Park. Visitors need to pay an expensive admission fee per day and per car to access the park if travelling from Jindabyne up to Smiggin Holes, Perisher Village or Guthega. The route leads up over a steep mountain road and sufficient parking is available in the ski resort. No overnight parking is permitted in Perisher Village and Smiggin Holes. It is also mandatory to carry snow chains (except for 4-wheel-drive/all-terrain vehicles). Snow chains can be hired in Jindabyne.
