The ski resort of Obergurgl-Hochgurgl is very family- and child-friendly. Children up to 8 years old can ski free of charge with their parents and the wide slopes are also very suitable for families. In the children's areas in Obergurgl, located slightly away from the crowds, children can have fun and learn to ski. On cold days, they can play in the ski kindergarten with Bobo. The Familypark Obergurgl and the Funslope Hochgurgl are very popular with families. In Hochgurgl, there is a moving carpet right next to the hotels. Children can practice their first turns with the ski school here. Once they are a bit more confident on skis, they can explore the easy slopes at the Krumpwasserlift.

Children's area run by the Obergurgl ski school.

The two children's areas of Wiesental and Pirchhütt in Obergurgl (behind the Hotel Hochfirst) are run by the Obergurgl ski school. Children can make their first attempts on skis here at moving carpets and tow ropes, assisted by qualified ski instructors. The adjacent kindergartens also offer ideal child care.

Familypark Obergurgl

The snowpark at the Bruggenbodenbahn lift is designed for families. It is a fun place to practise basic freestyle techniques on boxes and kickers.

Funslope Hochgurgl

The Funslope Hochgurgl is located at the Hochgurgl II and Wurmkogl I lifts. The slope features waves, jumps, steep turns, boxes, snow figures, a snow snail, a tunnel, padded hands to high-five and cars built into the snow. It’s great fun for the whole family.


Hochgurgl toboggan run

The 3 kilometre natural toboggan run leads from Hochgurgl to Pill alongside the Hochgurglbahn I lift. Night tobogganing is offered once a week with the chance for a break in the Restaurant Downhill Grill. Toboggans can be hired.
