Oberammergau is located in the middle of the large cross-country trail network in the Ammergau Alps. The classic and skating trails of all difficult levels are freshly groomed every day. The trails in the Graswangtal and surrounding Ettal are particularly snow-reliable. The famous Koenig Ludwig Race (second largest public skiing race in Europe) takes place every year in January.
