Total result: 3.9 out of 5 stars

The ski resort of Mt. Naeba is one of the most visited ski resorts in the area. A dozen of lifts start in front of the large hotel complex called Naeba Prince Hotel and open up the runs underneath the peak with an elevation of 1789m. Modern high speed quad chairs, partial with covers (bubbles) as well as double chair lifts serve the lower part of the slopes near the hotel. We recommend to take the high speed six person gondola Prince No. 1 Gondola because you can reach the double chair to the peak from the top station very easily. From the summit start there is an easy run and a steep non-groomed run down to the valley. You can also take the high speed eight person gondola Prince No. 2 Gondola from the base station but then you have to take more double chairs to reach the peak. The runs down to Naeba Prince Hotel are mostly intermediate to easy but between these runs you will find once in a while some advanced runs. An intermediate and easy run lead well signposted to the high speed eight person gondola Dragondola, the world´s longest single stage carrier with nearly 5,5 km in length. With the Dragondola you can reach the ski resort of Mitsumata, Kagura and Tashiro. From the Dragondola you can take a double chair to get back to the slopes in front of the Naeba Prince Hotel. The main runs just in front of the hotels are always very crowded but you will find nice vacant runs if you do not stay in front of the hotel.
Due to the connection to the ski areas Mitsumata, Kagura and Tashiro you have to hurry if you want to ski all areas on 1 day. The Dragondola takes about 20 minutes for the 5,5 kilometer journey.
