The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.

Detailed description of the ski resort
Mt. Rose is the ski resort at Lake Tahoe with the highest base station 2518m. From the Main Lodge and the parking lots starts the high speed six person chair Northwest Magnum 6 up to the Mt. Rose at 2957m, from where you can see Reno. Now you can choose between more than one douzen of runs. Steep slopes are near the six person chair. If you take the Kit Carosn Traverse you can reach the top station from the triple chair Lakeview and you can ski the easier slopes down to the valley. From the Upper Lakeview you have a great view to Lake Tahoe. All the slopes lead down to the Main Lodge or the Slide Lodge. At the Main Lodge is also the quad Ponderosa who serves only very easy runs, especially for beginners. Following to this lift is the triple chair Galena who serves also easy runs.
From Mt. Rose you can also ski down into the Slide Bowl on different runs. There are parking lots at the Slide Lodge and the high speed six person chair Blazing Zephyr 6 takes you up to Mt. Rose again. With the quad Chuter you can also reach the Slide Bowl. The Chuter quad is the shuttle back from the steep and advanced runs called Chutes. In the Chutes bowl is the terrain for the experts only. The runs are so steep that if you fall you will slide more hundred of meters down and it could be dangerous. The quad starts at the lowest elevation at 2407m and this is also where the road to the Slide Lodge branch off. For lunch you can go to the Main Lodge, where you will also find a very nice bar or to the Slide Lodge. For aprés ski one drive to Reno...
