Slope offering, variety of runs
Skiers and snowboarders will enjoy the 700m long intermediate slope. With its 150m width, the run at the Mehlmeisel ski area is extraordinarily wide and is even the widest in Northern Bavaria. In 1978, the slope was approved by the International Ski Federation (FIS) and so World Cup, Europe Cup and German Cup races can even take place here.

Since 1968, the Mehlmeisel municipality has been offering alpine sport opportunities with its Klausenlifts. Three t-bar lifts provide access to the area - two powerful t-bars running parallel on the right side and one t-bar on the left side. Because all of the lifts go up to the same slope, they are not affected by crowds of visitors.

Since 1977, they have used a snow-making facility to compensate for winters without much snow. Today, the Mehlmeisel Klausenlifts have a very modern snow-making facility ensuring white slopes until spring. The north-eastern slope position also results in more snow reliability.

The slope preparation is very good.
Modern snowcats working during the night guarantee an optimally prepared slope.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
There is a large and free parking lot located directly at the valley station. The Mehlmeisel municipality guarantees snow-cleared access roads. The nearest expressway is a little more than 25 km away.
