Ski resort Mallnitz/Ankogel

Mallnitz - a beautiful winter ski resort located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Ankogel is one of the most snow reliable mountains in the Carinthian Region - fun in the snow is guaranteed.

The cable car lift leads up in 2 sections - from the base station up to the 1287 m high spa town of Mallnitz and then to the mountain station at exactly 2636 m. In recent years, the transportation capacity has been doubled to accommodate 6,700 people per hour and two t-bar lifts in the upper part of the ski resort provide access to wide slopes for carving. With its 35 km of slopes, the Ankogel is an ideal family ski resort and is very popular due to its snow reliability, its first-class grooming and for its very attractive ski terrain. The many hills provide a diverse slope surface and the quality of the runs was confirmed in 2003 when they were awarded the Kaerntner Pistenguetesiegel (Carinthia Slope Quality Award). This was no surprise, since the employees of the Ankogel lift company have been working there for years and know the mountain like the back of their hand.
