The ski resort of Almenwelt Lofer is located in the Saalach Valley in the state of Salzburg. The nearest motorways are around 30 kilometres away. Free but limited parking is available directly at the base station of the Almbahn I gondola lift (P1), including a small underground car park. Just above the base station of the gondola lift I, there is also a large car park with 480 spaces (P3) right next to the valley run. From the centre of the town, drivers take the Loferer Almstraße uphill for around 600 metres and park 100 metres above the base station, from where there is direct access to the slopes.

  • The ski bus runs every half hour and transports visitors to the base station of the Loferer Almbahn I from most of the accommodation in Lofer, St.Martin and Unken. Visitors with a valid ski pass can also take the local bus from Weißbach to Lofer or from Lofer to Waidring (Steinplatte) free of charge. Free ski buses run between Au, Scheffsnoth and Backwinkl to the Loferer Almbahn I base station.
