Skiers can find cosy mountain huts throughout the ski resort. The selection covers the full spectrum, from self-service to gourmet restaurants. Lots of sun terraces and cosy ski huts are ideal places to relax for a while. You might even spot a famous face at some exclusive huts, for example, in the Berggasthof Sonnbühel or the Toni Alm.

Berggasthof Sonnbühel

At the Hahnenkamm at 1,650 metres

With its excellent cuisine and unique atmosphere reflecting great attention to detail, the Berggasthof Sonnbühel is also well-known in celebrity circles. Ivan Marzola has been running the Berggasthof since the 2016/2017 season following the same approach as for the family's Comici-Hütte in Val Gardena in South Tyrol. The specialities include freshly caught fish and seafood such as grilled lobster, wines from Grado and ingredients from their own farm. Steaks and the traditional pancake dessert Kaiserschmarrn complete the selection. You can also enjoy the view of the ski resort of Kitzbühel from the large sun terrace with live music. It is a good idea to make a reservation.

Maierl-Alm

At the Kaser valley run (former middle station of the Maierlbahn lifts) at 1,225 metres

The Maierl-Alm offers excellent cuisine. It serves everything from Tyrolean specialities to international dishes. The sun terrace is an inviting place to sit in fine weather. Fine wines and draught Augustiner beer add the finishing touches.

Restaurant Hochkitzbühel bei Tomschy

Right next to the mountain station of the Hahnenkammbahn lift at 1,662 metres

The Hochkitzbühel bei Tomschy restaurant offers very good food, cosy dining rooms and a beautiful view from the Kitzbüheler Horn all the way to the Hohe Tauern range. Every Friday evening, the Hochkitzbühel restaurant is open until 11 pm. You can then take the gondola lift back down to the valley.

Sonnalm

At the base station of the Hartkaserbahn lift at 1,750 metres

The Sonnalm has a self-service restaurant and a large sun terrace with table service. Table service is also available in cosy dining rooms with ceramic stoves. Every wish is catered for here.

Hahnenkammstüberl

At the Walde mountain station on the Hahnenkamm at 1,710 metres

The Lisi on the Hahnenkamm serves typical Tyrolean specialities. Diners can relax and enjoy their meal in the cosy dining rooms or on the sun terrace. Lisi is also reputed to serve the best Kaiserschmarrn. If you don't believe this, call in and try it for yourself.

P3 Lounge

On the Pengelstein at 1,938 metres

The P3 Lounge at the most beautiful viewpoint in the KitzSki area was completely renovated for the 2021/2022 season. Right next to the Bergrestaurant Pengelstein, you can take in breathtaking views of the Hohe Tauern mountains all the way to the Wilder Kaiser while enjoying lovingly prepared snacks and delicious cold and hot drinks. The striking terrace area has glazed wind protection.

Panorama Alm

At the mountain station of the Hartkaserbahn lift at 1,950 metres

The view from the sun terrace is pretty special - an exceptional vista in a class of its own. The rustic mountain hut with attractive dining rooms and good food attracts visitors from all over the ski resort. The bar on the sun terrace is a popular meeting place.

Bärenbadalm

At the Bärenbadkogel at 1,883 metres

Cosy ski hut with a Tyrolean ambiance and a beautiful view of the Zweitausender. Large sun terrace and stylish food and drinks. Great emphasis is placed on quality here, for example, the beef comes from the restaurant's own "Jochberger Angus” herd.

Toni Alm

At the Breitmoos run (Thurn Pass) at 1,500 metres

This rustic ski hut is located at the Kitzbühel Panoramabahn lift at 1,500 metres. In the exclusive Alm-Lounge, you can look forward to an open fireplace and a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. You might even spot a famous face here.

Seidlalm

At the famous Streif at 1,200 metres

The idea for an Alpine Ski World Cup was born at the Seidlalm in 1966. Following renovations in 2016, the Seidlalm has been restored to its former glory. Verena, Christina and Isabella treat diners to Tyrolean specialities in the cosy dining rooms or on the sun terrace. There is an amazing view of the Wilder Kaiser from here.

Melkalm

At the Hahnenkamm at 1,620 metres

On the sunny slope of the Ehrenbachhöhe, the runs pass directly in front of this alpine restaurant. It offers home-style cooking accompanied by beautiful panoramic views.

Jagawurzhütte

Below the Wurzhöhe at 1,530 metres

Rustic hut with an open fireplace and cosy dining rooms. In fine weather, there is a large sun terrace with a beautiful mountain view.

Trattenbachalm

At the Trattenbachbahn lift at 1,636 metres

The Trattenbachalm has a cosy dining room and a sun terrace. It serves authentic traditional Tyrolean fare.

Bruggeralm

At the Talsen 4-person chairlift at 1,365 metres

The Bruggeralm is a relaxed hut with a cosy ceramic stove. It serves specialities such as Kaiserschmarrn (pancake dessert), Tiroler Gröstl (potatoes with bacon and egg), cold meat and cheese platters, Wiener Schnitzel, smoked trout or "Müllerinnen Art" trout The home-produced goat's cheese with home-made bread is also not to be missed.

Fleck Alm

Beside the Fleck slope at 1,300 metres

The Fleckalm opened as a snack bar in 1900. Diners can enjoy home-made specialities in the cosy dining rooms or on the sun terrace. The view of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking.

Berggasthaus Resterhöhe

Below the mountain station of the Resterhöhe 6-person chairlift - hidden behind a hill with its own access by slope (number 70) at 1,796 metres.

The Berggasthaus Resterhöhe is the oldest managed mountain hut in the ski resort and has a very traditional and authentic atmosphere. It serves high-quality cuisine based on regional produce. Everything is prepared from fresh here. The home-made apple strudel is not to be missed. The atmosphere in the rustic and cosy dining rooms is very comfortable. The sun terrace is an inviting place to sit in fine weather.
