Kaunertal Glacier is a medium-sized ski resort. The slopes on the glacier are very wide and cover a vertical distance of almost 1,000 metres from the Falginjoch to the Ochsenalm. In 2021, the ski resort was expanded around the Weißseejoch. Three cable cars now travel up to the highest peaks: Falginjochbahn lift (3,113 metres), Karlesjochbahn lift (3,108 metres) and Weißseejochbahn lift (3,044 metres). All three mountain stations lead directly to the national border between Austria and Italy.
