The Nordkette is very popular with advanced skiers and freeriders. The steepest ski routes in Europe lead from the Hafelekar to the valley. There are also difficult slopes, mogul runs and ski routes at the Seegrube double chairlift. When snow conditions are good, the freeriding possibilities are endless. Advanced skiers can always find new paths through the cliffs down to Innsbruck. Warning! Some of the high alpine ski routes are very dangerous and the warnings should be taken seriously - "bei Sturz Lebensgefahr! (falling can be fatal).
