The ski resort of Idre Fjäll is ideally suited to families and children. The whole family can easily ski most of the slopes. In the ski resort itself, there are separate areas for children with moving carpets and practice lifts. Children can discover the animals of the world in the Askestigen adventure land. There is a large sports hall with a swimming pool and an arcade games room in the centre of Idre Fjäll. Children can have fun on a bouncy castle, at a dance school, dance show, disco and karaoke here. A toboggan run or a sleigh ride is a fun experience for the whole family. In general, the ski resort is aimed at families with children and, if you are lucky, you might even meet the mascot Aske on the slopes.

The Askes children's area is located on the west side and has moving carpets and a pommel lift. It is situated close to the centre of Idre Fjäll and at the middle station of the Väst 6:an six-person chairlift.
