The ski resort of Hochzeiger is very concerned about the environment. The resort uses a GPS system to calculate snow data to ensure environmentally friendly snow production and preparation of slopes. This ensures sparing use of resources and production of only the required quantities of artificial snow. Together with a university research project, the optimum snow production period is calculated for additional resource savings. Free ski bus connections run from all of the villages in the Pitztal Valley to the ski resort of Hochzeiger. The 8-person Hochzeiger 2.5 chairlift has an energy-efficient direct drive.
