From the base station in Hintertux, you go up to the highest point on the glacier in three sections with modern funitels (Gletscherbus 1-3). The Gletscherbus 3 is also the highest funitel in the world. You can also get up to the glacier quickly from the Tuxer Fernerhaus with the 10-person Gefrorene Wand gondola lift. Since the 2015/2016 season, the new 6-person Lärmstange chairlift with weather protectors and seat heaters provides access to the slopes on the Kaserer. The slopes on the glacier are accessed with a total of 6 tow lifts. A 6-person chairlift brings winter sports fans back to the Sommerbergalm.
