The base station of the Hintertux Glacier is located at the end of the Tuxertal, which is a side valley in the Zillertal. It takes about one hour to drive from the Achensee-Zillertal Autobahn (A13) exit. There is a parking garage and a parking lot next to the base station or you can use the free shuttle bus from the village of Hintertux.Mobility on-site

- Scheduled ski buses connect the villages of Hintertux, Juns, Madseit and Vorderlanersbach with the glacier lifts. In the main season, there is also the Green Line (a ski bus from Mayrhofen to Hintertux and back which is free for skiers with ski equipment and a valid ski pass).
