The Großglockner Resort ski resort is located at the villages of Kals and Matrei. Most of the accommodation in Kals is situated beside the slopes. The highlight in Kals is the Gradonna Mountain Resort right next to the slopes. The Adler Lounge offers accommodation in the middle of the ski area. When staying in Matrei, you generally need to take the ski bus to the lift (with a few exceptions). The Goldriedbahn gondola lift is located on the outskirts of Matrei, A valley run leads to Matrei and also directly to the Hotel Goldried.
