Accommodations in the Grandvalira ski resort are found in Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa. Encamp is the closest to Spain and the capital Andorra la Vella. The Funicamp (Funitel gondola lift) goes up from here, but there is no valley run. Canillo is a peaceful mountain village with a gondola lift, but also no valley run. El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig and Pas de la Casa are located directly at the ski resort. El Tarter is also a pretty mountain village. Soldeu offers a wide range of high quality hotels including 4 and 5 star hotels located directly at the slopes. Grau Roig has no real town center and only a few accommodations. Pas de la Casa is located right on the French border and offers a wide assortment of accommodations and shopping options. The capital of Andorra, Andorra la Vella, is about 6 km from Encamp and also offers attractive accommodations, particularly if you also want to visit the other two Andorran ski resorts in Vallnord. The Pyreneean city Andorra is also known for its shopping possibilities.
